Day outline

Use this plan as the conversation starter.

The final villa choice should still depend on live availability, exact group size, budget, inclusions, and how far you want to move each day.

Day 1

Thursday: First Arrivals, Settle, First Dinner

Afternoon

  • Afternoon arrivals - most friends fly in between 11 AM and 3 PM.
  • 2:00 PM - First group lunch. Vagator Beach north-end shack. The food is simple, the sand is there, everyone is happy.
  • 4:00 PM - Check into the villa cluster. Claim rooms. Set up the terrace.

Evening

  • 5:30 PM - Pool. The pool at the main villa is the centre of the reunion.
  • 8:00 PM - Pre-dinner drinks on the terrace. Someone brought something, or the caretaker can arrange it.
  • 9:00 PM - First group dinner. Thalassa (Vagator). Book the whole terrace if the group is 10+. Reserve 5 days ahead for a group of 8+.

Swap note: 9:00 PM - First group dinner. Thalassa (Vagator). Book the whole terrace if the group is 10+. Reserve 5 days ahead for a group of 8+.

Day 2

Friday: Beach, Market, Dinner at Bomra's

Morning

  • 9:00 AM - Breakfast at the villa. Ask the caretaker to arrange eggs, toast, fruit, coffee. Or someone goes to Bike Bar (Anjuna, 10 minutes away) for the group.
  • 10:30 AM - Beach at Anjuna. The group drives — it's 10 minutes from Vagator. Anjuna has more energy than Vagator — better for a group.

Afternoon

  • 1:00 PM - Lunch at Curl's Beach Shack (Anjuna). The shack is on the sand. The fish thali is ₹380. The location is the point.
  • 2:30 PM - If it's Wednesday, the Anjuna Flea Market is worth 90 minutes. If not, back to the villa.

Evening

  • 5:00 PM - Pool at the villa. The terrace catches the late sun.
  • 8:00 PM - Sundowners on the terrace.
  • 9:00 PM - Group dinner at Bomra's (Candolim). Burmese food. The duck is the standout. The menu has enough variety for different preferences. Reserve 2 days ahead.

Swap note: 2:30 PM - If it's Wednesday, the Anjuna Flea Market is worth 90 minutes. If not, back to the villa.

Aby confirms staff timings, transport, and villa rules for this day before you lock it.

Day 3

Saturday: Divar Island, Old Goa, Adega de Goa

Morning

  • 9:00 AM - Breakfast at the villa.
  • 10:00 AM - Drive to the Ribandar Ferry (Panaji, 30 minutes from Vagator). Cross to Divar Island (₹20 per car).
  • 10:30 AM - Spend 2 hours:
  • Bodhi Temple (Bodhi Temple) — Buddhist monastery inside a laterite cave. Genuinely unusual.
  • Merces Village walk — past the St. Mathias Church and the paddy fields.

Afternoon

  • 1:00 PM - Lunch at Hotel Mandala (Fontainhas, Panaji). Goan thali. A table for 10.
  • 3:00 PM - Walk through Fontainhas (Latin Quarter). The coloured houses. 30 minutes.

Evening

  • 5:00 PM - Return to Vagator. Pool.
  • 8:00 PM - Terrace drinks.
  • 9:00 PM - Final group dinner at Adega de Goa (Fontainhas). Portuguese food, candlelight. One of the best dinners in Goa. Reserve 2 days ahead.

Aby confirms staff timings, transport, and villa rules for this day before you lock it.

Day 4

Sunday: Slow Morning, Departure

Morning

  • 9:30 AM - Slow breakfast. No agenda.
  • 11:00 AM - One last pool session.

Afternoon

  • 12:30 PM - Check out. Load the cars.
  • 1:00 PM - Final group lunch at Fischer's (Candolim). Seafood on the water. Everyone pays their own bill — it's easier.
  • 3:00 PM - Depart. Transfers to Dabolim Airport (40 km, 55 minutes) or the bus stand.

Aby confirms staff timings, transport, and villa rules for this day before you lock it.

A reunion trip has one job: everyone comes back and it feels like the last time, except better. The villa does that work. A pool, a shared living room, a terrace where the conversation starts at 10 PM and doesn't end until 2 AM — that's the reunion architecture.

This itinerary is for a group of 6–12 friends. It uses a cluster of villas in Vagator with enough shared space for the group to be together, and enough bedrooms for everyone to actually sleep.

How do you plan a reunion trip to Goa for a group?

Start with one large villa as the shared base, then add adjacent villas in the same villa development so everyone sleeps close but couples can have privacy. Build the days around long meals, pool time, and one or two easy detours, so the group is always together but nobody feels over-scheduled.

Most reunion groups base in Vagator for the quiet and beach access, and some spread into Anjuna for extra rooms. Our guide to large villas in North Goa covers which clusters fit groups of 8, 10, or 12.

The Trip in One Paragraph

Four days in North Goa with your friends. You arrive Thursday and Friday, check into a villa cluster in Vagator — the primary 5-bedroom villa in Vagator (your host confirms which) as the main gathering space, with adjacent La Dora Estate villas for overflow — spend Friday and Saturday eating at the restaurants worth eating at (Thalassa, Bomra's, Adega de Goa), swimming at Anjuna and Vagator, doing one detour to Divar Island on Sunday morning, and leave Monday. The villa is the base throughout: you eat together, you drink together, you come back to it every night.

Villa Setup

Main villa: the primary 5-bedroom villa in Vagator (your host confirms which) — ₹1,25,000/night. Large living room, pool terrace, full staff. This is the gathering space. The group eats here, drinks here, and stays up here.

Overflow villas: La Dora Estate Villa 04 + Villa 05 — two 3-bedroom villas in the same development, 2 minutes' walk from the main villa. ₹18,000–₹18,900/night + GST each.

Total capacity: 11 bedrooms, 20–22 guests. Best for groups of 6–12 friends.

What's Included

FAQ

What's the best villa setup for a group of 8 friends? The 5-bedroom Vagator villa (5BR) is enough for 8 friends — at 2 per bedroom, plus the shared living room. If the group is 8 and some couples want privacy, add one La Dora Estate villa.

How far ahead should we book? 3–4 weeks minimum for weekdays. 6–8 weeks for weekends. December–January requires 2–3 months.

Should we book restaurants for the group? Yes. Thalassa, Bomra's, and Adega de Goa all require reservations. For groups of 8+, call 5 days ahead and ask for a table for the whole group. They accommodate this.

What's the split on accommodation cost? If 8 friends split the 5-bedroom Vagator villa (₹1,25,000/night), that's ₹15,625 per person per night. If the group is 8 in 4 rooms (2 per room), it's ₹31,250 per couple per night. Add La Dora Estate villas for couples who want more privacy.

What's the food budget per person per day for a reunion group? Breakfast at villa: ₹200–₹400 per person. Lunch: ₹400–₹800 per person. Dinner: ₹800–₹1,500 per person. Alcohol: ₹300–₹800 per person per day. Total: ₹1,700–₹3,500 per person per day.

What's the total cost per person for a 4-day reunion? Flights: ₹4,500–₹8,500 return. Villa: ₹15,625–₹62,500 per person per night (split between occupants). Food and drink: ₹7,000–₹14,000 for 4 days. Transport: ₹1,500–₹2,500 per day. Total per person: approximately ₹30,000–₹85,000.
